Testing out discord

Some of you already know, but I recently got the idea that we could try out a discord channel as a possible replacement for the chatbox that we've currently got embedded at the bottom of the page. As to why this might be a good idea, the majority of our activity is in the chat anyway, and from what I've seen so far, what discord offers is way better than what chatango does (ability to upload images, VoIP and a phone version with superior UI, to name a few).
If this idea takes off, I will most likely remove the previous chatbox from the site footer entirely. However, it looks like there's no way to embed a discord text channel to replace it yet, though there is a discord widget available that shows the number of people online (Which may or may not be useful).
